The name Bar Florian has been taken from the original owner, Floriano Francesconi, who opened Café Florian in December 1720 at St Mark’s Square in Venice, Italy. It is one of the oldest cafés in Europe and is known for its heritage and décor throughout the world. It sold some of the finest wines and coffee in its time and today it attracts a plethora of visitors from around the world.
In keeping with his parents’ regional background of the Veneto and Vicenza regions of Italy, Gino together with Maree have created Bar Florian. With retro, 60’s Italian theme, the venue has been created for patrons to share some of the finest cured meats, cheeses and condiments served on hand crafted glass platters. Together with a wide range of boutique beers, fine wines and spirits, Bar Florian will be a place for the discerning food and beverage patron to experience in a relaxed and inviting environment.
In 2016 Bar Florian was awarded the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) NSW Awards for Excellence – Best Speciality/Emerging Bar
